A few weeks ago I went shopping with my Grandpa and we went to some of our favorite stores – Crate & Barrel and Penzey’s Spices.

Our first stop was Penzey’s Spices, where we both had several of their coupons to use. I would highly recommend signing up for Penzey’s Catalogs; almost every one comes with a coupon for a free spice. I have been able to build up my spice cabinet with the help of their coupons. It’s also great if you aren’t sure about a product and would like to try it risk free.

My only actual purchase was the ‘Sunny Paris Seasoning‘; this is one of the best seasoning I’ve ever used. This is delicious in soups and great for making veggie dip. This is perfect in chicken soup, it smells and tastes just like classic chicken soup. I even add it to minestrone, tortellini soup, and italian wedding soup. It gives any soup an almost creamy texture without actually using cream. And if you mix a bit with water and add to equal parts plain greek yogurt/mayo, it makes an excellent veggie dip.

The rest of the items I received free with coupons. I haven’t used the ‘Frozen Pizza Seasoning’ or ‘Fajita Seasoning’ yet, but I have used the ‘Original Taco Seasoning‘. For Cinco De Mayo I made chicken tacos by following the recipe on the bottle and they were delicious!

We also went to Crate & Barrel; with the intention of buying a new cheesecake pan but I couldn’t get myself to pay $25 for one. After walking around a bit, I saw this Italian Loaf Pan and it was on sale!

I’ve been wanting one of these for a while, but I had only seen them online or they were just too expensive. This one was on sale for $14.95.  I love making french bread but it is so difficult to make on regular sheet pans. This pan with help it keep its shape and help it to cool better.
